Bangladesh, One of the
poorest nations in the world just happens to be one
of the interesting places I've photographed. Throughout
the country, there are signs of poverty and hardship
from everywhere you look around. And yet, the country
is faced with natural disasters every year killing thousands
of people. The most striking thing in this nation was
the opportunity for photographers. Its a photographers
paradise. Virtually everything you see on the street,
on the slums beside the flood plain, will capture a
photographers attention. Dhaka, the capital's streets
are over numbered by human rickshaws and men and women
carrying heavy loads, including fish, chicken, vegetables,
fruits etc. on their heads. This photo shows workers
carrying bags of what seems to be more like cement or
fertilizers, during a quick cross across the road. In
Dhaka, traffic is unbelievably congested and combined
with lack of traffic rules, can make you wait quite
sometime before you can even think of crossing. Photo:
